Your roof estimate should make room for the house and yard below it. Point out plants, exterior fixtures, screens, outdoor furniture, and areas with limited access. Discuss household routines, pets, deliveries, and where people enter and leave. Take reference photographs together where helpful. The goal is a shared understanding of the property before materials, ladders, and debris equipment arrive.
Ask for the protection setup in the scope
Pinnacle’s existing project materials describe protective netting and wheeled dump trailers. Ask how the proposed setup would work at your home and which areas it addresses. Equipment choices should be explained in the context of the site; they are not a guarantee that damage cannot occur.

Carry the plan through cleanup
Confirm how the team will collect debris, check the agreed areas, and coordinate equipment removal. Ask for a final property walkthrough and a written list of anything needing follow-up. Compare concerns with the pre-work record and keep the discussion with the project contact. Planning the property setup does not remove every risk, but it gives you concrete responsibilities to review before installation and clear questions to ask at completion.
What changes when the roof comes off?
Replacement is an opportunity to evaluate the complete assembly. The proposal should distinguish the visible roof covering from the underlayment, deck work, flashing, ventilation and cleanup. Those details explain what you are buying more clearly than the shingle brand alone.
When the existing roof is removed
The condition beneath the covering becomes easier to evaluate. Ask how any damaged decking will be photographed and priced, and what approval is required before the scope changes. Keep an agreed unit price or written change process alongside the base proposal.
