01Start with what will stay
Brick, stone, stucco and permanent trim provide the context for the roof. Make a short list of tones that work with those features. A roof that looks attractive on another house may read differently on yours.
02Compare profile as well as color
Shingle, metal and tile create different rooflines and surface patterns. Look at examples with a similar roof shape and viewing angle. Consider how valleys, dormers and other details will appear in the chosen material.
03Finish with a real sample
